Last month, a number of Travel Media Association of Canada (TMAC) members were in London following the organization’s first international annual conference. The event took place in Cardiff, Wales and London, England, was a popular destination both pre and post-conference.
LMA arranged for a number of media to stay at the chic Metropolitan Hotel (owned by COMO Hotels & Resorts – http://www.como.bz) in London and received nothing but glowing reviews about the property afterwards. Located in central London, on Park Lane, near Hyde Park, this boutique hotel is one of the city’s trendiest. Rumour has it Rihanna and Pete Doherty were both staying there at the same time, and spotted in the Met Bar (one of London’s most fashionable watering spots)!
We were able to organize the opportunity for a number of Canadian media to experience Afternoon De-Light, the hotel’s popular waist-friendly version of high tea. The Afternoon De-Light menu includes a selection of cupcakes, fruit scone and ‘no-bread sandwiches’ and is a fantastic way to experience high tea in London. Media also checked out the Met Bar, the hotel’s exclusive bar, open to members and guests only.
