Five Honors for LMA This Year from HSMAI

LMA has received five distinctions for the 2010 Adrian Awards; hosted by the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI).

These accolades were determined as part of the Annual HSMAI International Travel and Hospitality Competition, the largest and most prestigious event of its kind in the world. The annual contest attracts more than 1,200 entries from 32 countries and destinations around the world, with advertising, public relations and web site entries judged by panels of experts from all industry sectors.

The 2010 LMA awards, associated clients and respective categories are listed as follows:

  • Silver – New York’s Hotel Pennsylvania – Public Relations
  • Silver – Ojai Valley Inn & Spa – Web Site Design
  • Silver – Ojai Valley Inn & Spa – Complete Advertising Campaign
  • Silver – Kensington Tours – Advertising Campaign
  • Bronze – Grenada Board of Tourism – Web Site Design

Specifically, the Public Relations Campaign for New York’s Hotel Pennsylvania pertained to the work done leading up to and during the 134th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. The Silver Award was earned for the media attention the Hotel received for its numerous dog-centric amenities within the Hotel catering to participants and VIP’s (Very Important Pooches). This premier dog show takes place every February at Madison Square Garden, right across from New York’s Hotel Pennsylvania. This is the fifth consecutive year that LMA has won an award for this campaign.

The success of our Ojai Valley Inn & Spa web site was rewarded with a silver award. This site has doubled the number of visitors since its launch, with a ten-fold increase in revenue.

The Ojai Valley Inn & Spa Complete Advertising Campaign was awarded for our work reflected in a broad range of media: print advertising, Internet, direct mail and collateral material. Programs were designed for consumers and travel trade. The goal was to evoke an emotional response through the lifestyle and couture standard associated with the Inn.

The Kensington Tours Advertising Campaign incorporated the fun usage of a nutrition chart to exhibit travel destinations offered by the company. The goal was to educate people on the attainability of private guided tours using a common link. The food facts display served as a format that audiences could recognize and connect with so that they could better understand the message.

Lastly, a bronze award was given for the web site developed for the Grenada Board of Tourism. Working in close cooperation with Orlando Romain, the Board's web manager, LMA has built a ste that suitably presents this beautiful destination, and encourages leisure bookings.
